BSI Germany held its 2nd Business Continuity Management Forum at Frankfurt Airport

19 June 2009

On 16 June 2009, BSI Germany held its 2nd Business Continuity Management (BCM) Forum at Frankfurt Airport.  The oversubscribed event was attended by over 60 high-level delegates from key industries including banking, insurance, telecoms, automotive and aviation.

Attendees learnt about crisis management including BCM planning and crisis communication, and heard first hand from BCM specialists at Fraport AG – the owner and operator of Frankfurt Airport – about their BCM operations.

During the event, which was partnered by KPMG, Partner4BCM and Fraport AG, the delegates were given a tour of the airport’s crisis management centre and its emergency facilities, and were given a demonstration on fire control from the airport’s fire department.

Almost €2,000 was raised by delegates for an organization which provides care and assistance to those who have been involved or affected by a severe unexpected event.
