25 March 2009 - 25 March 2009
Business Continuity Awareness Week is firmly fixed in the calendar of business continuity practitioners with the main focus of the week being to raise awareness with colleagues and clients and show the growing importance of Business Continuity Management (BCM) as an integral management tool.
Centrally, the Business Continuity Institute aims to raise understanding of BCM with leading opinion formers in government and industry. During 2007 the Business Continuity Institute launched the BCI Partnership as a way of working with organisations to raise the profile of the discipline and to encourage corporate excellence in BCM. BCI Partners include: Milton Keynes Council, Marsh, SunGard, ICM Business Continuity Services, Continuity Shop, BP International, Prudential, Cabinet Office - Civil Contingencies Secretariat, EADS, HBOS, PriceWaterhouse Coopers, Continuity SA, Texonet Limited, BT, Hewlett-Packard, EDS, 4C Strategies AB, eBRP Solutions Network, Continuity Central, Crisis Solutions, Garrison Continuity, IBM, NCC, AON Risk Consulting, ABN Amro Bank, ABS Consulting, Getronics and De Boer Structures. BSI Management Systems is proud to be a BCI industry partner. We will be actively involved in Business Continuity Awareness Week where we will be showcasing our solutions around BS 25999, BSI's internationally recognised BCM standard.
Business Continuity Awareness Week is an opportunity for you to showcase your organisation's Business Continuity Programme and to show your colleagues why BCM is an increasingly important management tool.
BCM can be a challenge at the best of times. Sharing promotional ideas across industry will not only enhance our own organisations but also add status to BCM practitioners. You are encouraged to take the ideas presented, enhance and exploit them and most importantly share your successes with your BCI colleagues.
As part of the Business Continuity Awareness Week, there will be a BCI Summit Meeting on Wednesday 25 March.
