Strategic Planning for BCM Leaders

18 June 2009 - 18 June 2009

76 Portland Place
London, UK

Budgets may be under threat, the global economic outlook may look uncertain and the potential for business disruption is at least as great as it ever was. So, how different will the public and private sectors be when the green shoots of recovery start to show themselves? And what might be the role of the BCM professional in supporting, and even contributing to, the revitalisation of the organisation by which you are employed? Will risk appetites be suppressed? Will there be a wave of acquisitions and re-structuring? Will new legislation demand higher levels of organisational resilience?

The BCI Strategic Planning Workshop aims to provide you with the opportunity to think about your role as a BCM professional and the contribution of your BCM team to the future well-being and performance of your organisation. But you won’t be working in isolation. Led by a panel of authoritative presenters drawn from the public and private sectors, from government and from academia, you will work with other senior BCI Members to explore the key question, "What could and should be done to ensure that the BCM profession emerges from the current period of recession and economic difficulties as a major contributor to organisational recovery and resilience?" This is a serious workshop for the more experienced BCM practitioners.
