Incident Management and Incident Communications Workshop

This workshop will focus on incident management and incident communications. It will aim, through presentations and facilitated discussions, to address a number of key questions:

  • What is an ‘incident’?
  • What are the key elements and considerations of incident management and incident communications?
  • What is the role of the incident management team (IMT) during a crisis with regard to communications (both internal and external) when there is an established corporate communications function in place?
  • What is the role of the BC Manager?
  • What are the expectations of the media during a crisis – what do they want and why?
  • How can the use of social media tools enhance and hinder incident communications?
