05 November 2008 - 07 November 2008
On 19 September 2008, an earthquake of 5.8 magnitude hit the coast of Indonesia. At least 23 people died and thousands of homes were damaged. Less than a week later, a typhoon hit Taiwan. This caused a power blackout which affected more than 130,000 households. Shelters have been built for typhoon victims but hundreds of households are still without water. Work and schools were suspended. Recently, the hurricane which hit the coast of Texas left three million consumers without power in seven US states.
Following these natural disasters it is inevitable that the security and resilience of an organisation’s infrastructure have become an ongoing concern for businesses and management.
How do you ensure that your organisation or its Business Continuity Management programme can weather a catastrophe? Will you be ready? Find out more by attending the 8th Annual BCM Conference in Singapore, 5th – 7th November 2008. This year’s theme is "Unleash the Power of a Green BCM!"
