ICT Resilience Workshop

06 October 2011 - 06 October 2011

With so much pressure on maintaining the availability of technology solutions, a major challenge for many organisations today is understanding the continuity requirements of their automated processes.

A key question for business continuity managers is how to align the organisation’s business continuity management (BCM) requirements with the IT strategy.

This workshop will utilise a case study approach and refer to the latest Standards and guidelines for ICT and service continuity, including BS 25777, to propose ways of:

  • Maximising today’s technology capability
  • Developing effective BCM strategies to leverage the technology available to the organisation
  • Establishing BCM and ICT priorities
  • Defining roles and responsibilities
  • Reviewing methods for aligning the technology resilience and available service continuity solutions with the BCM framework.

The workshop programmewill be developed to ensure that both business continuity and technology managers are engaged in a number of practical exercises throughout the day, which will be planned to challenge the current best practices.  It will explore the business continuity capabilities and requirements of virtualization and cloud computing and the likely return-on-investment for continuity and recovery.
